A host of celebrities attended the grand opening on 20th September, a total floor space of 222,000 square metres offering condominium residence, the Triple Y Hotel, Mitrtown Office Tower and the futuristic Samyan Mitrtown Mall. 

คุณยี่หร่าน (ภรรยา) และผม เดินทางจากบ้านไปสะดวกด้วย MRT ออกที่ทางออก 2 ก็ถึงห้างสรรพสินค้าได้ทันที ซึ่งครั้งแรกพวกเราเห็นห้างแห่งนี้ ต้องยอมรับว่าอึ้งไปเลยล่ะครับ.. เมื่อกวาดตามองอย่างช้าๆ โดยทั่ว ผมและภรรยาถึงกับอุทานออกมาพร้อมกันว่า “ว้าว !” เราสองคนก็ได้แต่มองแต่กันและอมยิ้มอย่างภูมิใจ จากนั้นก็เดินตรงไปยัง BIG C ที่ซึ่งสาขาใหม่ของ ”ธรรมชาติซีฟู้ด” ตั้งอยู่.. อย่างที่คาดไว้ครับ ตู้โชว์ของเราสุดยอดมาก เต็มไปด้วยสินค้าสดใหม่ที่พร้อมรองรับลูกค้าได้กว่า 5,000 ราย ที่จะหลั่งไหลมาในโซนเปิดตลอด 24 ชั่วโมงแห่งนี้ ! ทีมงานของเราเองก็ขนเอาความสดจากทะเล ทั้งแซลมอน ซูชิ ซาชิมิ สรวงสวรรค์แห่งซีฟู้ดทั้งหลาย พวกเรายกมาไว้ให้คุณสัมผัสที่นี่แล้วล่ะครับ.. คุณลุงจากบางหว้าคนหนึ่งมีเดินมาพูดคุยกับเราด้วยว่า “ปกติลุงจะทำซาชิมิให้ครอบครัวกินทุกวันอาทิตย์ แต่ของคุณแล่ไว้สวยมาก.. ผมคงเกษียณตัวเองได้แล้วทีนี้ ฮ่า ๆ”

Yeeran and I went by MRT, an easy hop from home, exit 2 delivering us straight into the jaws of this stunning mall, where we paused! It was one of those moments! You slowly look around, then up, then down, then at each other, and say," Wow!" at the same time! We smiled, laughed loud, then strolled the short walk to 'Big C.' There, just inside the entrance proudly sat Thammachart Seafood, as we expected, showcasing the very best, fresh produce for the estimated +5,000 customers that would flood through this 24-hour zone daily. The team had presented everything to perfection, fresh Norwegian Salmon, Sushi, Sashimi, Seafood heaven enveloped us; and was already flying off the shelves. An elderly man from Bang Wa told us that he used to make Sushi himself as a treat for his family. “Every Sunday,” he said, chuckling, "But you make it so well, I can retire now!" The mall has been described as, 'A centre for food and learning to satisfy a new generation,' and yes, I could try and tell you all about what we've seen today, but really, you must come and experience it for yourself; some places are just like that!

It's so easy to get there; you might even show up without meaning to: 

· Walk right in from MRT Samyan, exit 2

· At BTS Siam take the free shuttle bus

· From Phayathai Road, it's on the right side (1,578 parking spaces)

· Public Bus: 47, 187, 50, 177, 529, 93, 501, 172, 29, 4, 109, 67, 40, 21, 45, 501, 34, 36, 25
